Update: Ebony was bred in July of 2010 to Coop. In August we went to see if there were puppies. We discovered Pyometra. When I called in the afternoon to inquire, they told me the white count was high. I said the vet was supposed to call me if she should be operated on today. That vet said do you want me to call her (my vet)? I said yes. My vet opted to not operate on her that day.
The following day I took her in to be operated on. During the operation, the vet had the other vet call me to tell me she was the worse case she had ever seen. She was not sure she would make it.
By the afternoon, the vet had more hope. Today, weeks later, she survived and is doing well.
Bodacious Beardies - November 2009 - We had sad news today. No puppies this time around. We are consulting with the vet on having purely a natural breeding, no procedures..doing it the old-fashioned way. Breeding would be in June and puppies in August of 2010.
November 2009 - We are very happy to announce we bred to Sebring's Four on the Floor, call name Coop! We are awaiting our appointment to see the ultrasound on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. This will tell us if she is pregnant and how many puppies she has. It has been a very exciting and anxious 28 days of waiting!
June 2009 Ebony's first breeding did not work out. The 2 puppies that are shown on the ultrasound has 2 puppies but by
June 12th showed that Ebony was absorbing those puppies. Sometimes this happens. Medications are being administered to make sure there is no infection. She is tolerating the medication.
We are very sad that this first breeding didn't work out but we are looking forward to breeding her again.
We are inquiring prospective mates.
